Ontario Scene – North of the 45th at Gallery 101

May 11th, 2015

Drawings from my Dual series and a new drawing, Full Circle (unrest), are currently on exhibition at Gallery 101 in Ottawa as part of the National Arts Centre’s Ontario Scene. The exhibition, North of the 45th, runs May 3 to May 30, 2015.

North of the 45th looks at the diversity of artistic practices and voices from Northern Ontario. From drawing to ceramics to video to performance, these works dismantle stereotypical notions of regional identity by offering complex and thoughtful expressions of the relationships that connect land, memory, and history. The exhibition features the work of:  Amanda Burk, Sarah Link, Tanya Lukin Linklater, Riaz Mehmood, Laurent Vaillancourt, Debajehmujig – Gallery 101
